Wabash (formerly The Kimpton Monaco Chicago).
Located just steps from the Chicago Riverwalk and the iconic Magnificent Mile on Michigan Avenue, L7 Chicago by LOTTE offers guests close proximity to the city’s tourist attractions and business district along with unique wellness-focused amenities including Korean skincare and light workout equipment, a curated contemporary art program featuring Chicagoan, Korean, and Korean-American artists, and the ground-floor restaurant, PERILLA Korean American steakhouse from acclaimed local restaurateurs Executive Chef Andrew Lim and Partners Thomas Oh and Alvin Kang.
L7 Chicago by LOTTE offers a warm respite from the action of the city with 191 guestrooms (including 22 suites), lobby, and restaurant designed by award-winning firm AvroKO. The aesthetics draw inspiration from the country’s traditional textile technique, “Jogakbo,” which can be seen in custom-designed items throughout the property - from the handcrafted pattern motifs in the carpet to the shade of the guest room’s table lamp, which offer a warm glow through their patterned translucent paper shades, mimicking the patchwork style of the technique. Everything in the hallways and guestrooms was reimagined, and the light, soft, and warm color palette provides a gentle, intimate feeling. Hotel guests arriving for check-in are greeted with a signature gesture of Korean hospitality - a warm towel - while surrounded by an inviting palette of light oak. Vivid contemporary art from Chicago artists adds a sense of the surrounding city to the space.
